ABOUT
KISS THE GLOBE

KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER WITH

ENTERTAINMENT

The idea was born in 2023.

The doctor Stephanie Kail and her former schoolmate and friend, the veterinarian Nicola Jöstl, have been observing the developments surrounding the climate and the increasing uncertainty that accompanies it around the world for some time. Politically motivated fake news and exaggerated scientific skepticism are making their questionable contribution to this. Out of this personal concern and the desire to find perspectives for a sustainable, positive future through networking, education and competence, the two have put out feelers, looked for like-minded people and spun ideas in dozens of meetings.

While KISS THE GLOBE was initially intended as a purely informational event, it was soon concluded that the topic of climate needed to be more light-hearted and more positive when it came to imparting knowledge. So a suitable location was needed. And given the title of this event, what was more natural than to ask the management of the Globe Vienna.

After his enthusiastic acceptance, a concept was developed together with the cabaret artist Werner Brix and it was agreed to hold an annual weekend starting in November 2024, when cabaret artists and experts would come together to talk to young and old, old and young, using comedy and science, about a viable and stress-free path to a sustainable future.

That is the claim of KISS THE GLOBE.
